We are a 501(c)(3) non- profit officially created in 2022 to assist with educational and community needs. However our mission started years ago. Our mission is "We are a non-profit organization to help provide resources to K-12 and college students."

In the fall of 2019, Hamlar established the Student-Athlete Development Excellence Fund - a new Wake Forests Athletics endowment that will permanently provide networking and career services opportunities to generations of future Wake Forest student-athletes.
"Our focus now is on providing for the future. For us, that future is our kids, and they live with us in our house, but the future is around us as well. It's our entire surrounding community."

The Hamlar Family Foundation will be awarding two (2) $500 scholarships to two qualifying graduates at Franklin County High School in Rocky Mount, VA. The application has been given to the high school guidance counselor. To apply please contact the school counselor or download from the schools website.
The Hamlar Family Foundation will be awarding two (2) $500 scholarships to two qualifying graduates at Patrick Henry High School - Roanoke, VA. The application has been given to the high school guidance counselor. To apply please contact the school counselor.
The Hamlar Family Foundation will be awarding two (2) $500 scholarships to two qualifying graduates at William Fleming High School - Roanoke, VA. The application has been given to the high school guidance counselor. To apply please contact the school counselor.
The Hamlar Family Foundation will be awarding the L. H. Hamlar Citizenship Award to 17 fifth grade students. Each student will be selected by their principal and receive a crisp $100 bill. This award started 20 years ago with a partnership with Principal Mrs. Toni Belton of Roanoke Academy for Math and Science also known as (RAMS) and has expanded to all 17 Elementary Schools in the City of Roanoke.
